Pharmaceutical Time Management
Sort:
The
first step in the 5s process is sort. The goal of the sorting step is to clear
the space by removing cutter and removing items that do not belong to the area.
If we keep an object untidy. It will take us a long time to find that object when we need it.
If we write the name of the object on different shelves and arrange it, then it will be very easy for us to get that object.
Then
we will save a lot of time.
Set in Order: Seiton is usually translated into “systematic arrangement” or “set in order” and summarized in the saying “a place for everything and everything on its place.” The goal of Seiton is to arrange all necessary items in order to prevent loss and waste of times looking and searching for what is needed.
Shine: The Shine stage of 5S focuses on cleaning up the work area, which means sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping down surfaces, putting tools and materials away, etc. In addition to basic cleaning, Shine also involves performing regular maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Standardize: The fourth step in the lean 5S (6S) process is standardize. Standardize should really be nearly effortless if you have properly executed the first three steps in the 5S process – seiri (sort), seiton (straighten), and seiso (sweep).
Sustain: In Sustain, the goal is to stick to the new rules. Workers keep the new standards in place and practice the first three steps every day until they become automatic and the accepted way of doing things. This final step often proves the most challenging.
