Why are diuretics used in heart failure?

Diuretics are an integral part of heart failure treatment, along with other medications to treat the underlying cause of heart failure. Diuretics help the kidneys flush out the excess fluid and maintain normal blood volume.

The elimination of excess fluid reduces pressure in the veins and the overload of venous blood into the heart. As a result, the heart requires less effort to pump out blood, and the blood pressure in the arteries drops. The fluid accumulated in the lungs and other tissues drains back into the circulation, providing symptom relief.

       মোলারিটি সম্পর্কে আগেই আলোচনা করেছি।না পড়ে থাকলে  মোলারিটি র উপর ক্লিক করো। নরমালিটি  সম্পর্কে জানার আগে আমাদের জানা দরকার গ্রাম তুল্য ভর আসলে কী। দ্রবণে কোন মৌলের মোলারিটিকে তার যোজনী দিয়ে ভাগ করলে ঐ মৌলের গ্রাম তুল্য ভর পাওয়া যায়। আর যৌগের ক্ষেত্রে কোন যৌগের কয় মোল অপর কোন যৌগের সাথে বিক্রিয়া করছে, সেই সংখ্যা দিয়ে মোলারিটিকে ভাগ দিলে তার গ্রাম তুল্য ভর পাওয়া যায়। ভিন্ন ভিন্ন বিক্রিয়ার ক্ষেত্রে যেহেতু এসবের মান পরিবর্তন হয়ে যেতে পারে, তাই গ্রাম তুল্য এককের মানও পরিবর্তিত হয়ে যেতে পারে। এবার চলো নরমালিটি সম্পর্কে  জেনে আসি: নরমালিটি = গ্রাম তুল্য ভর / দ্রবণের আয়তন। একে N দিয়ে প্রকাশ করা হয়ে থাকে। কোন দ্রবণের নরমালিটি ১ হলে তাকে বলে ১ নর্মাল দ্রবণ। উদাহরণ হিসেবে, সালফিউরিক এসিডের H₂SO₄ দ্রবণে প্রতি লিটারে ৯৮ গ্রাম এসিড দ্রবীভূত থাকলে অম্ল-ক্ষার বিক্রিয়ার ক্ষেত্রে এর নরমালিটি হবে ২।(আরো সহজ করে বলি,যৌগের ভরকে যৌগে যতগুলো H থাকবে বা H সমতুল্য যতটা থাকবে ততদিয়ে ভাগ করতে হবে) সালফিউরিক এসিডে ২ মোল H⁺ আয়ন থাকায়( H₂SO₄ এ H আছে ২ টি)প্রতি ১ মোল ক্ষারের সাথে বিক্রিয়া করতে পারে ০.৫ মোল।
